Hey ya'll! T here. Heidi asked if I'd make her blog post today and of course I said yes! And then I wondered what the heck could I say that could make an impact. I have a super long post ready to go but have decided not to post it. Maybe one day Heidi will need me to fill in again and I'll have another opportunity to post, but for today all I want to say is this:
You guys! We are all sinners! Every dang one of us! None of us are better than the person sitting next to us. One of my favorite stories in the Bible is in John Chapter 8 when the scribes and Pharisees bring the woman to him who had committed adultery. Christ said to them, "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her" (John 8:7). The scribes and Pharisees left because they knew they were not without sin. And then guess what Christ did. He showed the woman LOVE and COMPASSION!
Whenever I read my scriptures or talks by my church leaders, there sure as heck isn't a * after being counseled to NOT JUDGE, to LOVE one another, to FORGIVE, and to show COMPASSION. Meaning, I will only not judge you if.... I will only love you if.... I will only forgive you if..... I will only show compassion if.....
My plea for everyone is to stop casting figurative stones at others. Stop condemning, stop being manipulative, stop be narcissistic. JUST STOP!
The only way to heal is to show love and compassion (without an *)
