Process Addiction - You Are Responsible

This is such an important lesson for all people to learn, and to actively live by.

There is someone in my life who has always shown me who they are.

They are not dependable.

Unreliable.

What they say and what they do are not in alignment.

I still care about them.

However, I no longer make time for them.

Recently, they made the comment that I must be so upset with them because they are constantly letting me down.

I responded truthfully:

"Nope! You have always shown me who you are. If I was upset or angry, that's on me."

And that is a fact.

If someone shows you who they are and who they are upsets you, you need to decide what YOU are going to do.

If you choose to allow them to still be in your life, their behavior can no longer upset you.

You chose to have them in your life!

That's on you!

 

Process Addiction - Questions to Ask Yourself

How am I feeling?

What do I need?

What can I let go of?

This year, I became very aware that I do not like Valentine's Day.

Not even a little bit.

Like, I hate it.

It gives me anxiety and I make myself sick.

My sweet sister, Cyd, knew that this was coming.

She began a few days prior asking me how I was feeling.

I told her that I felt like I just couldn't do it.

She validated me.

She told me it was okay to take a day.

It was okay to stay in bed.

How was I feeling?
Anxious!

So anxious.

What did I need?
Sleep.

Rest.

Water.

Comfort food.

A walk.

UV rays.

I gave myself all of that.

What am I proud of?
Awareness.

Listening to myself and doing what my brain and body and soul needed.

What's working?

Awareness!

Doing what I feel guided to do!!!

 

Process Addiction - Shifting

As humans, we don't fully see.

Rather, we interpret.

Everything in our world is a story we tell in our head, isn't it?

We don't learn growth until we are stuck.

We don't truly see light until we know, personally, darkness.

We have the ability to turn around our circumstances.

We have the ability to change our world by changing our narrative.

 

Process Addiction - His Grace is Sufficient

His grace IS sufficient.
